Our Story
Hello, we are Three Little Pigs, a family venture founded in 2017 by me, Jeni Young.
We are an Independent, family owned business based in the beautiful historic town of Cardigan, West Wales. Our store is a celebration of small business & independent brands from Wales, the UK and beyond.
We pride ourselves in our commitment to do good by striving to only stock sustainable goods & ensuring that all of our packaging is recycled and recyclable.
From Vintage Finds to Coastal Treasure Trove: Our journey so far..
After over a decade in fashion retail and buying, my journey took an unexpected and delightful turn following the birth of our middle child. Inspired by a desire to spend more quality time at home with my young family, I began exploring the world of vintage furniture, selling my finds at local flea markets and online marketplaces. I found joy in discovering nostalgic pieces, restoring them with care, and helping them find new homes. This passion for unique furniture eventually grew into a love for sourcing newly hand-built pieces, and with that, Three Little Pigs was born - aptly named after our three children.
The Old Stables, Cardigan, West Wales
In 2021, our family moved from Cardiff to Cardigan, a place whose history and community spirit captured our hearts. Soon after, we opened our first bricks-and-mortar store, nestled just off Cardigan’s main high street in a charming, historic Old Stables building—once part of Cardigan Castle. The space, with its rustic character and storied past, provides the ideal backdrop for our thoughtfully curated homeware collection. Each piece reflects our commitment to quality and supports small, UK-based businesses—many of them locally owned and female-founded.
The Old Hay Loft
We are lucky to also have an Independent resident Architect, Billy Studio & also a Lighting Designer, Home Lighting Design sharing the 1st floor studio space in The Old Hay loft. It's a real creative hub!
There are also big plans on the horizon: soon, the Old Hay Loft will double up as an extension of the ground floor retail shop, allowing us to champion even more small Indie brands & local makers as well as housing more of our hand built furniture pieces.
